Offline purveyors unfailingly occupied with congested customers at their retail outlets , especially extraordinare in festival time. After the entrance of e-commerce in India this buoyant became in the past. E-commerce means consumer can purchase products on the internet and obtain it at their door steps , this will reduces consumer time spending on shoping in comparison with offline shoping. E-commerce giants Flipkart and Amazon have dwelled on predominance part of the market.
Reasons behind the hardships of offline vendors:
E-commerce portals allowing prodigious rebates and cashbacks on their products as they acquire items directly from manufacturers hence they will not pay any penny to third party dealers. As a result they are giving more benifits to the customers , Flipkart Big Billion day and Amazon Diwali Offer are the best instances .This circumstances become bane for offline retailers as they are not affordable to buy goods from manufacturers , therefore they purchase it from middle men , cost price of products will increase to them. Since offline vendors not able to give such discounts what e-commerce portals are giving. E-commerce portals have equipped with all kinds of products , various brands , different types of models and design , available product reviews and customers rating are made customers accustomed to purchase products on online , also thier easy return policy is one of the reason for buying online . These features are not available in offline stores.
What should be the remedy for offline retailers ?
The government should take necessary actions to protect offline vendors , atleast it should take care of huge rebates allowed by e-commerce portals. The government should bring new laws to survive offline retailers.
